2-15 FA Soldiers Say Farewell to Iraqi Counterparts at JSS Shield
Soldiers with Battery A, 2nd Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment, said their final farewells to 2nd Battalion, 1st Brigade, 1st Iraqi Federal Police Division, at a farewell dinner at Joint Security Station Shield April 4.
The Soldiers of Battery A packed up their gear to move out of JSS Shield after working with federal policemen for more than six months. They conducted everything from patrols to raids together. Lately, the relationship has changed for 2-15 from joint missions to advising and assisting the police officers when they were asked.

Randall R.C. Landstedt

A Fort Drum Soldier died Tuesday, April 6 after being
struck by a vehicle while on leave in Crestview, Fla.

The Fort Drum Soldier dead is Spc. Randall R.C. Landstedt, 22, of
Pollock Pines, Calif.

Spc. Landstedt served as an infantryman with the 1st Battalion, 32nd
Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division
(Light Infantry).

Spc. Landstedt joined the Army in April 2007 and arrived to Fort Drum in
September 2007. He deployed to Afghanistan with the 3rd BCT from
November 2009 to January 2010.

Spc. Landstedt is survived by his mother and father.

Spc. Landstedt's awards and decorations include the Afghanistan Campaign
Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal.

Press Release- North Country Iron Chef competition Wednesday

The Fort Drum Food Service program will host a North
Country Iron Chef competition Wednesday, April 14 at the culinary arts
training center here.

Teams from four 10th Mountain Division units and two civilian teams will
have three and a half hours to prepare a two-course meal.

Teams from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade,
10th Sustainment Brigade, and Headquarters and Headquarters Battalion
will compete for medals, an opportunity to participate on the Fort Drum
culinary arts team, and other incentives.

Additionally, teams from Texas Roadhouse and The Commons will
participate in the competition.

The competition begins at 8 a.m. in building P-4450.
