FORT DRUM, N.Y. - A 2nd Brigade Combat Team Soldier died in Mt. Solon,
Va. Saturday, Jan. 9 while on leave from duty in Iraq.

The Fort Drum Soldier dead is Pfc. Thomas E. Hodge II, 28, of
Waynesboro, Va.

Pfc. Hodge served as a petroleum supply specialist with the 210th
Brigade Support Battalion, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain
Division (Light Infantry). He deployed in October 2009 in support of
Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Pfc. Hodge joined the Army in April 2008 and arrived to Fort Drum in
September 2008.

Pfc. Hodge is survived by his wife and two children.

The August County Sherriff's office in Verona, Va. is investigating the
cause of death.
