Soldiers show off culinary talents
IRON CHEFS: Cook-off winners will head to Fort Lee for advanced training in kitchen arts
All morning, several teams of of 10th Mountain Division soldiers — and even a few civilians — participated in Fort Drum's Iron Chef competition. They baked, sautéed, grilled and fried to create an original meal that would please the palate of a panel of judges. And while the soldiers who cooked the best meal stood a chance at elevating their careers as chefs, almost all who participated said they were most interested in simply exchanging cooking ideas and trying to raise the bar when it came to the pursuit of cooking on post.
