FORT DRUM, NY -- A Mountain Remembrance Ceremony will be held Thursday,
February 25, 4:30 p.m. at the Main Post Chapel here to honor a fallen
10th Mountain Division Soldier.
Pfc. Thomas E. Hodge II, 28, of Waynesboro, Va will be honored at the
ceremony
Pfc. Hodge died Jan. 9 in Mt. Solon, Va. while on leave from duty in
Iraq.
Media interested in covering the ceremony should be at the Media
Operations Center on Route 26 no later than 4:00 p.m. on the day of the
event.

Combat Aviation Brigade, 277th Aviation Hangar, Wheeler Sack Army
Airfield, Thursday, February 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The 10th CAB will present awards to aviation Soldiers and have static
displays of aircraft and equipment demonstrating their war fighting
capabilities.
Col. Pedro G. Almeida, 10th Combat Aviation Brigade commander and
Maureen P. Cean, AUSA Chapter President, will be available for
interviews.

As our Katie Gibas tells us, Tucker was embedded with the 3rd Brigade for their entire deployment, and there were several times he didn't think he would live to tell the story.

County DSS officials, the DA and the Youth Bureau have come up with nearly a dozen such places called "safe havens." They include county hospitals, the children's home, Watertown Fire and Police stations, Guilfoyle Ambulance and the Emergency Services building on Fort Drum. Simulator. The simulator re-creates a wide range of real-life situations for
air traffic controllers, providing critical training and experience for
combat operations.

FORT DRUM, NY--The 1st Brigade Combat Team will conduct a deployment
ceremony 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Magrath gym here.
The 1st BCT deployed one battalion to Afghanistan in January and is
preparing the remainder of its units to deploy this spring as part of
the 30,000 troops authorized by President Barack Obama on Nov. 30, 2009.
